Launched in 2014, Groestlcoin is probably quite well known by the vast majority of the crypto community, but it was the first Altcoin to activate with SegWit.
GRS began trading from INR 6.88 on 19 September 2017 and was trading at INR 8.74 on 29 September 2017.
GRS began trading from INR 8.84 on 1 October 2017 and saw a spike towards INR 48.73 on 31 October 2017.
GRS began trading from INR 62.72 on 1 November 2017 and dipped down to INR 40.34 on 31 October 2017.
GRS started at INR 43.92 on 1 December 2017 and was valued at INR 102.83 on 31 December 2017.
GRS started at INR 117.58 on 2 January 2018 and dipped down to INR 52.52 on 31 January 2018.
GRS started at INR 52.33 on 1 February 2018 and again took a downward dip to INR 41.53 on 28 February 2018.
Groestlcoin received the necessary support of 95% of the Groestlcoin network hash in January 2017, and after a while, the activation of the solution itself occurred. But the scale of the project itself is insignificant, and therefore the cryptographic currency has never faced the same scale problems that threaten Bitcoin's network.
Project leader Jackie says that for him SegWit is basically a solution to the plasticity problems of transactions, which in turn makes it possible to use other innovations such as Lightning Network, TumbleBit and Mimblewimble.
However, despite the successful activation, SegWit is still rarely used in the Groestlcoin network. The currency does not have portfolios yet that support the solution, and unless the new function is purposely tested, most transactions use the old format.
It is expected that by the end of the year 2018, updating the new Electrum version of the Groestlcoin portfolio should be completed, and thereafter the SegWit transactions will be fully available.
In any case, after the activation of SegWit, the currency showed impressive growth, which apparently was a great gift for developers and investors alike.
