Dogecoin (DOGE) is a decentralized Cryptocurrency that was created in 2013 by Billy Markus, a former IBM engineer. The main goal is to serve as currency for micro-transactions.
Doge Coin is a derivative of Litecoin, which means that it borrows most of its code and ideas from it. Dogecoin uses, just like Litecoin, the Proof-of-Work algorithm called Scrypt.
Initially Dogecoin started with 0.1584 INR, there was a decline in price and it rose and stabilized at 0.0735 INR .
The Dogecoin rose from 0.0697 INR on 1st October 2017 and peaked to settle at 0.0726 INR on 31st October 2017.
Dogecoin started from 0.0778 INR on 1st November 2017 and owing to continuous upsurge in market trends it was at 0.1349 INR on 30th November 2017.
Starting off on 1st December 2017 at 0.1394 INR and Dogecoin finally reached 0.6114 INR on 31st December 2017
Starting off on 1 January 2018 at INR 0.5925, Dogecoin finally reached INR 0.3793 on 31 January 2018.
Starting off on 1 February 2018 at INR 0.3185, Dogecoin was trading at INR 0.3945 on 28 February 2018.
The Dogecoin transaction costs are extremely low, making it a perfect alternative to Bitcoin, whose high fees make micro-transactions almost impossible.
Dogecoin can serve as currency for donations, which can range from a simple donation between two individuals on the internet for a service rendered, to donation campaigns for a specific reason. Initiatives of the Dogecoin community have already emerged, such as donations to help finance the participation of the Jamaican Bobsleigh team at the Sochi Olympics (27 million Doge), or the initiative "Doge4water ", aiming to finance access to drinking water in Kenya (40 million Doge).
As mentioned above, this cryptocurrency will be used more to send small transactions or donations to other users. For example, if Skype accepts Dogecoin, we could send a little Dogecoin to a freelancer who helped you complete a task or project.
Again, as these are micro-transactions, this cryptocurrency could be used to buy applications for Smartphone / Tablets at a very minimal cost to avoid credit card company fees.
Dogecoin is one of the most famous cryptocurrencies in the world. It is more and more accepted on many platforms (Payeer, bestchange, change.com). Its growth is steady but indisputable.
The prices fluctuate based on local demand and supply.
